If you are in the area and crave sushi, sure why not? Since there is no other place in town that we could find. We were visiting from Southern CA and was craving sushi. We thought being by the sea would provide good seafood but apparently not. For the locals, I assume this is good but for a Sushi fanatic, this was really a 1 star sushi. I gave it 2 stars because of the location. Most of the "good" items on their menu wasn't even available because they said not a lot of people ordered them. The sashimi sampler was average. Nothing to rave about. We didn't order a lot because there was nothing special, just your typical rolls.

We are on girls trip and are here. Two of us had the bento boxes and they were so good!

Sushi was ok. Wouldn't go back. Seems to be the only sushi place in Lincoln City though. The fact that they deliver is pretty rad though!

Over priced but pretty good sushi when you just need a fix. The staff was a little pushy to get us to order quickly and they weren't even that busy. The tuna poke was pretty good but kinda stingy on the tuna for being 8 bucks.

Food was great but the service was a bit slow. It was almost like all the servers were new and weren't sure how the place was run. Amount of food in the bento was ok - but for the price I have seen a lot more at other places.... I would go again though :)

The sushi was good, as were the crab puffs and the hot and sour soup. The waiter was really friendly and was in too of things at first, but by the end of the meal, we had to flag down someone else for a box and the check. The check never came, so we had to go to the register finally to get it.

For a hybrid Chinese-Japanese restaurant, the sushi and teriyaki chicken here were better than expected. And the price was not bad either. Our bill averaged out to around $17 per person.

The service was just fine and very friendly my toddler decided it was time for a tantrum and they were kind enough to bring over cookie and coloring supplies to keep him busy. I ordered a lunch combo and the portion was good and the did was freshly made and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. The sushi that was purchased was fine nothing extravagant but just the same as most other places. The pot stickers were great as well. My son really liked the orange chicken and my wife enjoyed her noodles. A good selection and the lunch prices were fair. There are plenty of booths and it's b nice to see they offer takeout and delivery. I would recommend this page as a nice lunchtime meal and break from shopping.

You know, I really liked Momiji! I feel bad when seeing all these not so positive reviews about the place. Went there two days ago and thought the food was decent. We ordered one of the daily specials (asparagus and beef with garlic) and an udon dish. Although the udon wasn't spectacular, the beef was pretty darn good. After reading these reviews we weren't sure the food would meet our expectations but we were wrong! The waitress was attentive and friendly too. The restaurant was pretty welcoming too. I'm a fan of this place for sure- would go back if I were visiting in the area and needed a cheap and quick meal.

I got a take-out $12 bento box and there was no rice. Who serves teriyaki chicken with no rice? The rest seemed pretty good, but without rice I didn't enjoy it.

Fabulous sushi, excellent service, open everyday till 9 pm (shocking for Lincoln City). First time I've ever seen a female sushi chef actually... Anyway, overall awesomeness! Going back this weekend with my daughter. Total thumbs up!

When our day starts to wind down after being at the beach, we always head to Momiji Gourmet Japanese & Chinese Restaurant. They have many specials deals going on to make it light on the pocketbook. Both the service and food are well put together. We always order a Salem Roll and are so hungry by the time it gets to us, we dive in before we get a chance to even think. A day at the beach will do that to you.

I used to hate sushi or any type of food as such, but my friends brought me to this restaurant saying it's amazing and they'd help me find my new favorite restaurant/meal. I am now in love with salem rolls and shrimp yakisoba noodles! So yummy and great for beginners at trying this type of food! I would highly recommend they open one in the beaverton/portland area! I could see it being VERY popular place! (Plus I'll be moving over in that area next month! Too cool.

Here's the deal. In the valley this would be a 4 star joint- but in Lincoln City 5 stars all they way. They deliver- which is amazing. The sushi is so good- the Philly roll is my favorite. It is on the expensive side- but I can get over that to have a good delivery food option. Do yourself a favor and give it a try instead of pizza.

Wonderful sushi, delivered right to my front door by a really nice and very cool delivery driver! I saw a Momiji delivery car the other day and my kids and I got so excited. I figured I would give it a try before letting the kids try it, just in case. We will be ordering again very soon! Fantastic experience and I am so excited to eat from here again!

BEST PLACE TO EAT IN LINCOLN CITY Like.... It's MOMIJI'S The sushi is great! Chicken dishes, noodle dishes and all soups are delicious, HUGE portions for amazing prices! They are usually somewhat busy because its at the shopping mall, but they are ALWAYS kind and fast. If you want things your own way they make it how you like it and thats a plus! Yummy tea, those fantastic Japanese sodas, hot Saki. YOU GOTTA TRY IT!

I'm surprised by the lack of 4 and 5 star reviews.. Family and I have been here and had food delivered, several times and it's always great. The lo mein/chow mein are both great, as are the Chinese dishes (beef and broccoli, teriyaki chicken, general Tso, etc). As for the sushi, I think it's really good. After living in Hawaii and getting the freshest ingredients with some of the most talented Sushi Chefs around, I think Momiji is always right on par. Added bonus, it's like the only place in town that delivers and the owning family is as authentic and kind as can be. Give these guys a try before the other two Chinese places in town (don't know about other but we all get immediate migraines after eating at Lee's and Foon Hing Yuen, probably caused by MSG).

I ordered the Tiger Roll and the Dragon Roll. Both tasted fresh and really good! I was surprised actually. I also ordered the Ika salad and got a generous portion. Service was friendly, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. I'll be back. Yum!

Such a friendly place with delicious food. We had a variety of sushi rolls and grilled salmon. Try the Salem roll! You won't be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our meal here. We shared the no. 9 dinner plate and a salmon roll. It was a lot of food and we had plenty to take home for later. The service was fast and friendly, and the food fresh tasting and delicious. We will definitely be returning.

This place was amazing. I eat a lot of sushi and fully expected less of a place located at an outlet mall. The Eka salad was huge, and very tasty. The miso soup was also very large, yet amazing. I had the Salem roll and tiger roll.... Very very good quality. The portions here are crazy good!

We were so happy to see it open again. Then so disappointed! The place smells bad. The restaurant is full of stuff- lightbulbs, paperwork and renovation supplies. The service is terrible. The Chinese "sushi chefs" are rude and talk about you while you're sitting there. Now the sushi - yuck! Old and bad. Please get it together!

This was an interesting restaurant. It is not sure if it is Japanese or Chinese. Since it is the only one of two Japanese restaurant in Lincoln, I guess it needs to be both in order to keep in business. Besides it is in the outlet mall and needs to cater to all types of hungry visitors from all over. So what is important here, eh? It the food, the comfort of the establishment, the food, the drinks, the food, the presentation, and did I mention the food? I am not sorry to say I do not like Chinese food, so half of the menu will not have any consideration. With that said lets talk about the sushi. I went straight for the specials on the chalkboard behind the sushi bar. The first one had a name I can not remember. (delay in writing the review... sorry), But it was Oxxx Mountain. On a base of rice there is Krab, avocado, salmon, tuna, and a few other things all layered into a mountain. The mountain kind of leaned to the east. The presentation was not quite there but the mountain tasted good. Then the next spacial was better. My memory is a bit foggy about being on the coast so please bare with me as I try to recall this sushi roll. (check out the photo) It was a Real Crab roll with scallops and avocado include inside the roll. Lightly seared salmon on top with bay shrimp and seeds. This had very good flavor and the presentation needed just a little more work. Overall I was happy with the food and the service.

DON'T EAT HERE!!! I was VERY mislead by the reviews on Yelp. My boyfriend and I came to spend the weekend in Lincoln City for Valentine's Day weekend, and the sushi-lovers we are thought this would be a fun little joint to check out. The service was although, kind, very chaotic, unorganized and the food took a long while to come out. We ordered the Sushi Boat along with the "Most Popular" specialty sushi, the Shotgun roll. Both of which were priced fairly if it's GOOD sushi. The tuna was bright pink, very superficial looking, didn't taste fresh at all, and I got a severe stomach ache after. Unfortunately, our total bill was around $46 dollars although it was worth nothing. Couldn't even finish half of it. We wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I'd rather save my money for Safeway sushi...

I love the food here but the service is extremely horrendous and the servers are extremely annoying , rude and petty I recommend no one to go here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    awesome salem rolls!

  • Laurie V.

Service was very slow. Mushroom chicken was tasty, but the chicken lo mein and kung pao beef were not. When I was finally able to get the waitress (which both the other people were finished eating), I told them that the lo mein tasted funny she went and got the "manager" who told me he couldn't do anything because it was what I ordered. I have never had an eating establishment tell me this. My recommendation is not to eat here!!!!!! The kung pao beef had two different tastes and one of them was very fishy.

Bad service! Waited forever to order! When I asked the server he even told me to wait! Never again!!!!!!!

  • Weston P.

I'd give it an extra 1/2 star if possible. Not amazing, but better than average. Sushi/Japanese menu is pretty good, Chinese is so-so.

It took me months to get the nerve up to try a sushi restaurant that was in an outlet mall. What a surprise!! The sushi here was really outstanding and I'm very picky about sushi. I can't speak for the Chinese food as I didn't try but the place has great reviews on TripAdvisor as well. This was very good quality. I don't understand the low ratings. The place is spotless and very nicely decorated, the staff great, prices very good and delicious. I'll be back all the time now.

Cheap cheap cheap cheap lunch special! Even on the weekend. I had the Kung Pao Chicken for $3.75 + Steamed Rice for $1.50. Since I'm a sucka for Crab Puffs, I got it too for $2.10. The taste was good, the server was nice and funny. The only odd things were their signs of charging $3 for their ECO friendly chopsticks. I guess people steal their chopsticks all the time. Overall, good, decent place for quick lunch if you are shopping at the Tanger outlet.

The servers here seems to be running all the time. One was even running with a sizzling plate. Considering the space, that's a law suit waiting to happen. The wait for the food is also long, (30 minutes) not the best for lunch if you have travelled a long way and are hungry as hell. The Food: large quantity, bad quality. This was the MuShu shrimp. You also needed to dig for the shrimp.

  • Helen H.

Service: The guy who worked there seemed SO BOTHERED to seat us, annoyed at our presence. Really unpleasant. Points to the waitperson who was much kinder. Atmosphere: Dark, kind of dirty. Food: To be avoided. I ordered the bento box with chicken. I actually spat my chicken into my napkin because it tasted off/old. In fact, the only edible thing was the tempura and that was edible, not great. Unfortunate because I was really hungry and there aren't many (any?) other options at the outlets.

Ok....less than a month later than my first review, we decided to go back. I ended up getting a bento lunch which was pretty good - however I opted for the hot n' sour soup instead of the traditional miso. Lawd almighty - it was the WORST hot n' sour soup I've ever come across. I was completely perplexed by it...it had a funky smell and didn't look right..but for some reason I thought I should taste it. What was I thinking!!?!?! Eww. It wasn't hot, it wasn't sour, it wasn't edible!!! The rest of my bento was good though. The hubs ordered the same thing he did on our previous visit - the chicken katsu donburi and, also oddly enough, was totally different than before. In fact, it wasn't donburi...it was more like rice with a piece of katsu-chicken on top with a little sauce. Where was the egg and the onions???? A total friggin' mystery. I took one star away for the strange inconsistencies and the icky soup. I may stick to Japanese fare from now on...well, I will definitely NOT be ordering the hot n' sour soup again.

My wife and I eat here about once per month and both the service and food are outstanding. We especially thank the sushi chef and some time host whose name is Jacob, as he is always extremely professional, polite and helpful with menu choice. Great place to eat in Lincoln City even if located in the Tanger Outlet Mall.

Yes, the reason we went was because we were already at the outlets. But some form of sushi sounded good. So we got the salem rolls (yeah, I know... fake sushi). It was really good. My wife especially liked the tempura. Our server was also very nice and was just learning English but was already pretty darned decent. The prices were good. We'd come back again for lunch.

An excellent Chinese restaurant in Lincoln City - food was outstanding and well presented - most Chinese places on the Oregon coast are filty dives - Food was not "cheap" as cheap chinese can be - between 9.95 & 10.95 for a very excellent and filling meal .

If the service and the cleanliness was up to par the place would be 3.5 stars. The food was tasty but the environment trashy.

What as fun place to go on the shore while you're saving some cash shopping at outlets. I'm kinda glad this place popped up, cause while I have other places I like better, lots of them are closed in the winter. This place is handy, fast, and friendly. The staff and owner were very nice. The food was great, but I would be hesitant to order some of the more classic Japanese food there. You'd be much better off sticking with fried tofu, unagi, and pretty much anything on the chinese side of the menu. Save your sushi and izakaya cravings for the Portland area :) .

Always good service at the various ones i went to , but not always an authentic feel to it.....still a good place for some sushi though

This place is in the outlet mall. Set your expectations accordingly. Had some good sushi take out. They get bonus star for customer service. I noticed some updates to the interior last time I was in.

Bleh, ordering from any place that serves both Japanese and Chinese cuisine should have stopped me in my tracks. Too bad I was hungry. This place should pick one country and focus on that specific type of food. Even the fortune cookies tasted like they had been sitting in a desk drawer for years. Skip if you can!

This restaurant is in the Outlet shopping mall in Lincoln City - and is one of the few places to eat. (only place to eat? honestly I forget) We went as a group of four, so inevitably ended up ordering both chinese and japanese food. None of it was great. The chinese food I sampled was horrible - orange chicken made me long for Panda Express (yeah!) At least the chinese food was cheap. Sushi wasn't nearly as reasonable. I had a spicy yellowtail roll that was tragic - for some reason the fish was covered in mayo.. and the bulk of the center was mayo. I also ordered the tempura roll, and I recall it was neither warm nor fresh tasting. I had a sunomono salad that was fine and generous - it's pretty pathetic when you screw up cucumbers in vinegar, but they did fine at that. My husband ordered some deep fried roll (that I didn't sample), and he said it was way too greasy. Service was pretty slow, but kind of friendly. They complimented us on chopstick skills (!!) That said, based on the quality of the food for the price, definitely wouldn't return.

well after having great service and food the previous couple of times we've been here we ran into a snag in the program and it came mainly from the waiter.. First he recommended that I get the dinner size chow mein for my 4 and 2 year old to split.. they would have been fine with the lunch portion.. second i asked if i could subsitute shrimp tempura for the california roll that came with the bento box and instead of the full tempura, the order came as a shrimp tempura roll.. He was also very rude, and not very personable.. Food was decent.. the double shrimp roll was good.. as were teh bento boxes. chow mein isn't what I was used to or the kids used to.. but overall the food was good. but the service sucked.. so on our next trip there if we see this certain waiter working,we will pass on by..

My fiance and I were shopping at the Tanger Outlet mall and decided we were in the mood for Chinese food and since Momiji is really the only restaurant in the Outlet mall, there was no other choice. We both ordered off their Combination section and for each dish being under $10, the servings were gigantic. Both of our plates were heaped with food. The food was delicious and higher quality than we usually find at Chinese restaurants. For example, the noodles didn't taste microwaved in the least bit which is becoming more common and Chinese restaurants everywhere. The sauces on the food were very good. The egg flower soup at the beginning was amazing. It tasted home-made, possibly the best I've ever had. I've had Sushi and Sashimi here previously and was not disappointed. All in all, there isn't a better Chinese / Japanese restaurant in Lincoln City.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
